COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Together, we’re brewing a lager infused with hot ginger and a touch of cayenne (which emphasizes the ginger heat) before fermenting on a blend of oak honeycombs and hops. This may seem like an odd concept—and let’s be honest, it IS an odd concept—but the finished beer more than makes up for the seemingly strange combination of flavors. The ginger is bright and crisp, the cayenne falls just below the heat threshold, and the oak adds a delicate roundness to the finish. This ultra-crisp lager is very balanced and incredibly drinkable and will be one of the sleeper hits of the Beer Camp pack.

Bottle: Poured a light brown with off white head. Aroma is huge ginger. Taste is strong ginger with ruff rida. The King says taste like eating a chicken ramen spice pack.

Strange beer that gets lots of points for creativity. Not the sort of beer I’d drink on a regular basis. Far too spicy and aggressive for my tastes, but an interesting diversion.

Can: Clear, amber/gold with a small off-white head. Ginger, grain aroma. Taste is slightly sweet biscuit malt, followed by a steady ginger warmth....augmented by a moderate cayenne burn. Pretty mild.....really expected this to be hotter.

can - Lightly hazy gold pour. The aroma has lots of ginger and a little spicy pepper. The flavor has light, sweet malt, plenty of ginger, and some mild spicy heat. Interesting beer.

Slightly hazy deep copper coloured body with a thin off-white head that fades relatively quickly and shows a nice copper and pure peach glow when held up to the light - nice! Aroma of aromatic and quite assertive gingerroot with a dash of candied ginger and some more assertive and grassy/herbal flavour throughout with some other spice elements like coriander seed noticeable. Light-bodied; Assertive ginger flavour at first with some light sweetness and a drying and almost 'hot' (like Vernor's Pop from Michigan) bite of the ginger along with some more traditional hop elements and a small malt backbone. Aftertaste shows some mellow grassy, dry and sweet flavours with the ginger by far the strongest and no assertive or pungent lager yeasts throughout. Overall, a nice and elegant beer with bunches of ginger flavours, a good balance and a smooth-easy-drinking, yet full-of-flavour beer that is in a tall can - great! I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 12-August-2017 for US$25,99/twelve pack, sampled at home in Washington on 07-November-2017.

16 oz can from the mix pack. Clear gold pour with a smaller white head. Lots of ginger on the nose. Mild pepper heat on taste. This is pretty good, nice surprise from the pack.

Can. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow body with a one finger foamy white head that left some light lacing. The nose is pretty well all ginger with just the slightest hint of pale malt. The flavor is fairly bland up front, but the ginger and cayenne emerges on the finish. Much more ginger than pepper, but you can certainly taste both. Other than the spices, there isn’t much going on here. I really don’t get much oak flavor at all, through maybe there’s a hint very late. Lighter bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation. A slight tannic hint late, perhaps from the oak. Not a big fan of this one. 3/7/6/3/11

Can. About 8C, colder still would have worked too. Hazy gold with a very loose white head. 3- Smells like ginger beer - nice fiery ginger, doesn't smell too sweet. Maybe some lime and pepper. Beer? Much beerier than it smells with quite smooth and fairly clean pale malt before the ginger and some pepper take more of a hold towards the end. I would have liked a little more carbonation. And a bit more bitterness. Certainly very much ginger focused but not bad at all. As so many of these American beers are, pretty spendy on the alcohol for what it is. 6373 14
