bottle: reddish copper pour with off-white head. Arouma is pine and minerals. Sweet caramel malts, touch of sugar candies. Resinous piney hops, and thick herbaceous notes. Smooth almost chewy thick body with a hint of solventy pinesol. Bitter sticks to the tongue but fades after a few moments revealing some longer lasting astringency. Tasty. Solid IPA. ronaldtheriot (1919) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - DEC 19, 2010
Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA has a thin, off-white, creamy head and a cloudy orange appearance, with medium carbonation. The aroma is of sharp, piney hops, and the taste is of an overriding hoppiness, with some citrus and oiliness. Mouth-feel is moderately heavy, and Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA finishes delicious and satisfying. I highly recommend this beauty!

Lots of pine and lots of lemon in this beer. Very balanced, very well made. Dry. Doesn’t try to be too hardcore with massive booze and doesn’t try to be over hoppy. Confident, sturdy IPA. I like. mithe (1759) - Opava & Brno, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 17, 2010

Floral, sweet aroma, light citrusy/caramel or something other, but very pleasant aroma. Light hazy dark golden color. Huge, all time white head. Light sweet, hops/herbs/floral taste. Really full body. Light creamy/sticky texture. Long light bitter, light astringent finish. Very good beer, really fit my taste.

Aroma: Hops, floral, fruity.
Appearance: Clear amber color. Medium, white head.
Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitter, hops, floral, fruity, light caramel.
Palate: Full body. Creamy texture. Long bitter finish.
Overall: Well balanced taste. Not so great as before but still very good IPA. (184.108.40.206..16=4.0)
355mL bottle. Date? Who knows, but at least this one came directly from USA rather than via UK. Pours hazy gold with a small off-white head that settles to a ring and leaves a little lacing. Strong aroma of citrus, pine, malt, caramel and honey. Medium sweetness and fairly malty, lots of biting hop flavour and medium bitterness. Medium bodied, average carbonation, fairly creamy with a lingering bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a clear and amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt and hops with citrus. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is bitterness and some notes of sweetness. Overall an average beer. SirLimpsalot (4162) - SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2010
Maybe the best everyday IPA there is. Lots of hops but very well balanced with fruit such as grapes, lime and oranges. Nice long aftertaste. NosirIwont (2516) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - DEC 10, 2010
Bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a fluffy off-white head. Good lacing. Smooth, sweet and malty, pine and citrus hop aroma. Bit of cheesy notes, but nothing serious. Sweet, malty flavour; notes of bread (rye). Pine and citrus as well. Dry, bitter, malty finish. A decent beer, but a bit too sweet in the long run, for my liking. 11.12.10.
