Pours a shiny orange with a fading white head. Smells of many different hops with some notable citrus tones. Has very strong hop flavors and with that bready malt smoothness for a pleasant combination of bitter and sweet. Medium-bodied with a great texture that just fills the mouth and carbonation that tingles the tongue that hides under the bitterness of the hops. Torpedo finishes lightly bitter and definitely dry and lasting. LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2010
UPDATED: APR 8, 2011 Bottle. Copper with a large foamy white head leaving quite a lot of lacing. Aroma of fresh hops: citrus, pine, floral and herbal, also caramel, toffee, some spices. Taste: lots of hops, citrus, pine, herbs, soap, caramel, quite a large peppery bitterness. Quite a full body. Very long bitter finish and aftertaste. 0o9i (439) - Reno, Nevada, USA - NOV 15, 2010
Tap @ SIERRA TAPHOUSE. Clear, honey body topped with a fully-lasting offwhite head. Hoppy aroma dominated by flowers and citrus with musk and peach. Medium body with avg. Carb and a balanced finish. Flavor is lightly sweet with honey and a fair amount of hops, citrus like grapefruit with rind, pine...long, fairly bitter finish. A nice IPA. ska (230) - ITALY - NOV 13, 2010

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2010 Cloudy orange-reddish-copper pour with a pretty nice fluffy white head that leaves lots of lacing rings. Unexpectedly, the sweet malt aroma is the first thing I noticed. Caramel and bready malts are accented nicely by loads of citrus hops. Flavor is more grassy than the aroma, but still bursting with citrus hop flavor. Slightly herbal, almost like tea. Malt flavor is doughy, not as caramel-centric as it smelled. Mouthfeel is very lively, maybe a little too carbonated. Very balanced beer, not too sweet and not just a hop bomb. Very easy drinking as far as IPAs are concerned, but I’m not sure I understand why it’s considered one of the best out there. Caskalefan (168) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - NOV 2, 2010
Celebration was my go-to beer of the 80s-early 90s, and Torpedo eclipses it.
Beautiful honey/amber color, creamy, but sprightly body, super-complex aroma that is even juicier than Celebration’s.
Citrus rind, grapefruit, resin, apricot, strawberry jam, apple, pepper, and just a touch of ashyness in the long, earthy, spicy hop finish.
