COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Pours a cloudy amber with thick white head. Nose is citrus, pine. Bready malts. More of a pine finish. Fairly smooth and drinkable.

Dark golden colour, with a low head Aroma; lovely hop aroma with sitrus, grapefruit as the main components. A cherry candy note aswell Flavour; A good balance between sweetness and bitternes. Grapefruit in the finsih, good lenght, perfect carbonation. The cherry-candy is in the begining, but turns over to fresh red berries after a second in the mouth. Summary: a really well-made IPA, thats not over the top. I really digg it!

Aroma splendido, invitante, decisamente agrumato, leggermente malto e pompelmo in evidenza. Color ambrato con bella schiuma cremosa. In bocca malto e luppoli formano un buon corpo e danno una bella freschezza, molto bevibile con un finale amaricante. Io adoro...

From notes: Pours a clear, dark golden amber color with a frothy 1.5 finger off white head. Good retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring that leaves spots of soapy lacing behind. Floral hop aroma with a lot of earthy pine needle and citrus fruit notes.Hitsnifts of grapefruit and orange peel counter the earthy chracter and there is a subtle malt presence in the nose. Medium bodied wiu a nice crisp, bitter hop blas. Up front that lingers throughout over he subtle malt and sweet citrus flavor into a lingering dry finish. Lots of bitter earthy pine needle up front countered by grapefruit and orange peel. Subtle malt backbone providing decent balance but this beer is all about the delicious, fresh hops. A bit one dimnesional, which is exceptable considering the style, with a well masked ABV resulting in another flavorful, easy drinking hop bomb from Sierra Nevada.

Bottle @ Blackfriars. Sweet malty aroma. Amber colour with a good head. Strong hoppy malt flavour. Sweet aftertaste. A bit strong for me.

Bottle:   Amber with a burnt orange hue, large foamy sand colored head, fairly sticky lacing, moderate carbonation.   Sweet hop nose, candyish citrus peel as well.   Bitter on the tongue, but also has a candied citrus peel sweetness.   Pretty tasty!   Not all that malty, er bodywise, but the sweetness of the citrus peel balances out the bitterness.   A sweeter IPA for sure.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A little fruity on the exit.   Tangy as well.   Good stuff, sweeter than most, bitter but not puckering.   My kind of IPA.

Somewhat disappointed by this IPA. Pours a deep amber with slightly offwhite thick head. Nose is dominated by bitter hops. Taste is aggressive, dominated by a medium malt heavily veiled in resiny, pine, and bitter hops. Slight alcohol finish. Average.

Poured into a goblet because I felt like it. 4.5 A: Clear orange amber color. Good healthy head with above average retention and a lot of lacing. 3.5 S: Cat piss bomb. I like strong smells over no smell all the time, regardless of what the strong smell is (usually). Anyway, really hoppy. 4.0 T: Lots of hop flavor. Good hop bitterness to back it up, but the emphasis is on the flavor. Flavor is citrusy, piney, and cat pissy. Still very good and unbalance like a good IPA should be. 4.5 M: Good and creamy, which is want I demand in an IPA. Very good. 4.0 D: I don’t mind the cat pissness of the beer, but I can see it getting old after a while. Still, I’d easily drink quite a few of these. This is a pretty good IPA as it is well rounded yet has the bitterness expected of a good California IPA. The palate is a little muddy at times though, so it will not be going to the upper echelon of IPAs anytime soon. This could be the Mendoza line of IPAs.
