COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Pours a bright clean copper with decent white head. Smells of pine forest, and citurs. Taste is very hoppy, more pine, grapefruit, grass, and slightly sweet. Finishes very dry and bitter. Decent

Tasted 2010-12-04. Hoppy aroma. Very grassy nose. Almost resin-like. Bitter taste, slightly sweet. I don’t understand the "extra" part. This is just an ord’nary IPA IMO. Good, mind you.

Amber with some off white head. Aroma is very hoppy with some citrus and pine notes. Bit of malt comes out on the palate. Not too bitter given the aroma. Smooth and enjoyable.

Red-orange with small head. Aroma with hops and some bready malt. Flavor mostly piney hops and some malt balance. Don’t taste much alcohol. Bitterness more like an IPA than DIPA although alcohol is a little higher. Drinkable, would have again although wouldn’t specifically seek it out.

Typical looking IPA with tiny head. Hops, red fruit, hay. Really delicious aroma. Good carbonation develops the full flavour of the beer. Dry hoppy bitterness and full bodied aftertaste. Not overwhelming though. Cool ipa. (Draft at The top.)

Not much of a difference from the Celebration or Harvest Ale, but definitely goes down easy without the harsh overly hopped IPA’s I’m used to from the West Coast. Bitter after taste of citrus and grapefruit. Overall and great IPA. An oldie but a goodie.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2013 2013 Okay I’m a full hop head now, and this is dropping in ratings rapidly. Aroma is acutally pretty bad. Nice lasting head. taste is average to low. Drop from 4.1 to 3.5 2012 rating Had this one more recent... not the density of complexity of other IPAs still great... but not amazing as i once said Previos review: This really is an amazing American IPA. Its hoppy but not as much on the bitter side... you’ll be past the bitter in the first 4-5 sips. After that its smooth and enjoyable. Refreshing and excellent... worth a 6 pack.

Pours a burnt orange / amber with a nice offwhite head. Aroma of floral citrus hops, light malt and fruitiness fill the senses. Taste is citrusy hops with a bit of lemon peal, some light malt. Palate is nice full body, and good carbonation. Finish is citrusy hops, fruitiness and some sweet spices and light malt add some balance. As the beer warms the flavors and hoppiness become more pronounced and bitter hops dominate this brew. Overall a very flavorful and complex brew

G: Poured into an imperial pint glass. A: Beautiful cherry-amber beer with a creamy white head. The head is maybe two fingers thick with plenty of bubbles. A little bit of visible carbonation. Great lacing. S: Strong. Sweetness and hops galore. T: Lots of hops, although it definitely has a solid backbone to it as well. Generic citrus without any one fruit-type flavor dominating others. Quite balanced. M: Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. No real taste of alcohol--goes down smooth. D: Definitely drinkable, although not as much so as SN Pale Ale, or as much so as some of the truly great IPA’s.
