COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Bottle from Sierra Nevada Mills River. Pours orange with a white head. Fairly big pine on the nose and tongue. Fairly bitter on the finish. Pretty solid example of a west coast IPA.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, honey, fruit, bread, hops and citrus.

Appearance:
Hazy/turbid amber/orange beer with a medium off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, honey and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, hops and citrus.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Decent malts and hops, but still manages to miss some distinct fruity flavours. Good beer nonetheless however.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2017 (12oz bottle. Virginia USA) AROMA: nice hoppy nose, green/fresh, herbal and a bit floral. APPEARANCE: nice Amber color, slightly off white head, creamy and clingy, ok visible carbonation. TASTE: significant bitter hops flavor upfront, strong grapefruit, detergent, citrus peel, some underlying fruity sweetness. PALATE: crisp, some sparkle, dry finish. OVERALL: solid IPA. A bit too much focus on the bittering hops, which could be overwhelming if you are not into that kind of beer.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2016 Bottle. Pours dark copper with medium head. Smells like fresk, dank hops. The taste is all about hops, hay and resin. Low carbonation and lingering bitterness. Very good.

Damn good IPA. Pours dark rich copper with a decent head. Excellent mouth feel with earthy patterns of piny hops balancing the healthy malt backbone. Highly recommended.

F: big, yellowish, good retention. C: coppery, light hazy. A: caramel malt, pine, spruce, tropical fruits, tangerine, orange. T: crispy malty, orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, pine resin, grapefruit, bread, hint of herbal, touch of earthy, good long lasting bitterness, fresh juicy orange/grapefruit tones, one of the legends but now-days just very good among the huge amount of IPAs, BB: 25/08/17, 355ml bottle from AH supermarket in Antwerpen.
