COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Pours a hazy copper with a 3 finger pillowy white head that sticks around for a while and leaves excellent lacing. Aroma is average for an IPA: pine, flowers, grapefruit. Taste is very much the same with a grassy dryness to accompany the hop bite. This is good, but I wouldn’t classify it as an easy drinking beer nor as a beer for serious hop-heads. Solid and widely available.

Очень приятный насыщенный аромат фруктового хмеля. Цвет классический, карамельный. Вкус хорошего американского хмеля. Много фруктов и немного ягод. Имеется фруктовая и довольно резкая горчинка при послевкусии.

On tap @Ølfred - Aarhus Streetfood. Pours clear golden, with white head. Grass, intense bitterness, with a fruity aftertaste. Refreshing. Rich and creamy. Delightful!

Bottle from Marks and Spencer. Pours a hazy copper gold with a fluffy toffee beige head. Lots of tiny pin bubbles shooting about the glass. Looks the business. The aromas have sweet and sticky toffee, light floral freshness. I'm surprised by how smooth and pleasant it is. The taste follows the same pattern with the light fruit and bittering grassy resin finely balanced and easy to drink. The beer feels full bodied with smoothness and a gentle dry sparkle. Certainly not the hop monster I expected at all. The aromas and flavours were both smooth and balanced which made it surprisingly easy drinking for such a hefty beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip. Hazy orange with a moderate creamy off-white head that heavily laces as it recedes. Aroma is citrus and floral. Starts with some light sweetness and then a moderate bitter. Lingering bitter finish. Medium body and a bit creamy on the palate.

This answers the question of how a high-quality West Coast brewery would make something just shy of a DIPA. It's smooth and bready, without a lot of hop aroma but with a long and lingering (but not overpowering) bitterness at the end.

Superb beer. Not your hop bomb West coast IPA but just an outstanding ale. Hard to chose between this and SN's Pale Ale as the best go-to brew on the market.
