COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Bottle. Hazy orange with beige head. Aroma of pine and oranges. Fresh flavor with lovely malt sweetness and an excellent dose of bitterness. I really enjoyed this beer.

Aroma is a mix of dank raisins and apricot. Not a hard hitting IPA like some others, it eases in with an apricot and piney flavor with a little pineapple. Bready malt character balances it out nicely. Pretty balanced and easy drinking for an extra IPA. Not a major stand out but a good drinker.

355ml bottle as a Christmas present from Lisa - cheers! Sampled on the 6th January 2018. Poured into a tulip glass, clear orange amber in colour with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma with clear notes of warm bread and marmalade. Thick resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Mixed malts give a robust digestive biscuit backbone with sweet notes of thick cut marmalade, golden syrup. Bitter hops abound in the punchy drier flavours of pine resin and apricot in the warming hoppy aftertaste. Finish is once again hop bound as resins give a cloying citrus/pine resin burst of dried apricot, marmalade, barley twists and a little warming burr of booze right at the end. A decent IPA.

Pours a very hazy deep golden colour. Initial aromas are very strong alcohols and a deep, rich malt body but these are soon overtaken by big, bold citrus and piney hop aromas. Taste is big, bold and hoppy with grapefruit, citrus and piney flavours at the forefront but with enough malt backbone and sweet caramel flavours to provide balance. A phenomenal American IPA.

Fantastic IPA, massive dose of hops, lashings of citrus, and a gorgeous dark amber colour.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2018 12/20/17 With Abby while watching Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas! Look: Dark and inviting. Looks like there’s gonna be a lot to it. Can/Label is pleasant but nothing exciting. Smell: all hops and pretty complex, lots of dank/floral stuff with plenty of citrus and grapefruit. Taste: Really aggressive hop bomb. It’s HUGE and bitter. Dank/funky hops predominate. Feel: foamy with plenty to chew on. Bitter, drying finish. This is a great, really aggressive hop-bomb. Exemplary of “extra IPA”

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2017 Beastly, ravishing bitterness. Granted, it doesn’t completely blow off your head but the unfolding hop flavours are to die for, and easily eclipse the initial brew itself, for me at least. Has the hallmarks and additional maltiness of a DIPA, but doesn’t really count strength wise. All in all, I like it a lot.
