COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Draft at WBF. Very solid IPA, just wasnt all that impressed. Might as well have juiced it up a bit and made it an IIPA. Still, refreshing and has some very nice hop character.

Wysoka, trwała, średniopęcherzykowa piana. Niezbyt ładna. Aromat: Przyjemnie cytrusowo, świezy chmiel, zapach jak z paczki z granulatem. Słodko od karmelu, lekka przyprawowa nuta. Smak: Wyraźny słodowy profil, zdominowany przez słd karmelowy, słodkie, goryczka wyrazna choć nienachalna goryczka, bardziej cytrusowa niż ziołowa.Nie zalega. Oglnie dobra IPA, moim zdaniem słd karmelowy robi tutaj robote.

Barwa złocista, klarowne ze średnio pęcherzykową pianą ktra jednak ładnie się utrzymuje i formuje czapę. Zapach to chmielowa przyprawowość, niezbyt intensywny. W smaku to samo, niewiele można dodać. Goryczka wysoka, krtka - nie zalega. Ciało średnie, idealne jak na ten styl, jest nawet lekko "slick" - to lubię! Wysycenie odpowiednie. Overall naprawdę dobra, mega pijalna, orzeźwiająca IPA. Brakuje w niej tylko intensywności i rznorodności smaku i aromatu.

I dont quite understand the very high rating that this IPA boasts. Dont get me wrong, its a solid IPA but no great flavours here.

12-ounce bottle briskly poured. A gorgeous pour: thick, creamy tannish-white head lingers and clings to glass; slightly hazy orange-amber color; visible rising bubbles. Aroma is subdued: pine needles, sweet bread, pineapple and passion fruit. Taste is hop-forward with the usual citrus and pine taste characteristics, followed by sweet caramel and biscuit, then followed by a mellow hopiness. Very well-balanced between bitter and sweet. Body is medium, mouthfeel is smooth, and finish is dry and refreshing. This is somewhere between an IPA and an Imperial IPA. Billed as an Extra IPA, its the perfect beer for hopheads who dont like the astringent hopiness of some assertive imperials.

From a can. Pours clear amber with frothy head. Floral hoppy aroma. Malt sweet upfront with hoppy bitterness throughout. Medium body and clean finish. Very pleasant and easy drinking with great hops flavour. A winner.

Can. Pours clear golden. Aroma is grassy and flora hops, yet hinting at a massive malt dose to come up. Body is medium, rather on the bitter side, some sweetness, and with a rather soft carbonation. Good balance though. Matching palate, yet rather short. Nice.

Not my favorite IPA, strong hop taste that leaves my mouth bitter and dry after every sip.

From the tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Pours clear amber (but place is very dark) with abundant white foam. Aroma is citrus and a little resinous. Body is medium, low carbonation. Taste is definitely bitter, but without exceeding. Finish is not particularly long for a beer like this.

Oranjegeel, crmekleurige volle schuimkraag, heel licht wazig, koolzuur gaat langzaam omhoog. Aroma: Citrus, abrikoos, mango, tropisch, karamel, brood, floraal, pijnboom en licht spicy. Smaak: Iets tropisch, citrus, licht grapefruit, zoete moeten, karamel, brood/biscuit, grassig, licht pijnboom/harsig. De bitter is prima ....stevig maar niet over de top. Medium body, zacht koolzuur, zacht mondgevoel, afdronk is bitter, droog en grassig. Eigenlijk een mooie subtiele maar toch stevige IPA.
