UPDATED: JUL 18, 2011 Bottle. Poured a reddish-orange that was a bit hazy with a medium sized off white rocky head that had very nice retention which allowed for some fair lacing. The aroma had a heavy dose of hops, a light grain malt and a horse blanket yeast scent with a nice citrus note that stood out rather well. It tasted moderately bitter of hops in the beginning and finished with a nice pronounced malty-bitter flavor that had a nice hint of citrus at the end, with the flavor only lasting a short time. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and watery yet dry in texture with a very nice carbonation. Overall a very nice IPA that had a well balanced hop-citrus flavor working for it. I have to say I kind of enjoyed this one and I am not even a hop lover.
Overall good hoppy beer with nice old-school hop profile. Crisp bitterness, citrus hop flavor. Malt is light and a little dry; would like a little more oomph to match the hops. tntracey (65) - - JUN 12, 2017
Fine tasting IPA that will not burn your taste buds out. Delicious beverage that hits the spot after a mountain bike ride. Could drink this beer all afternoon! sephyrott (102) - - JUN 8, 2017
Pint from tap at the Drapers Arms. Hoppy, strong and rounded IPA. Not extremely hoppy tough, but decent and very rewarding. Great taste. DavyK (132) - East Kilbride, SCOTLAND - JUN 5, 2017
Bottle from Redmondís. Aroma is tropical, but not overly strong. Roasted pineapple, maybe some mango. Definitely assertive at first - slightly aggressive hopping, but as the palate beds in, the chewiness becomes really pleasant. A grower, as your work down the glass. Deep orange colour is satisfying. Itís lovely to look at, and actually quite easy drinking for the style, once you get over the big hit at the start. wirebender28277 (12) - - JUN 4, 2017

I keep trying other beers - there are so many - but I just keep coming back to this one. This is the IPA gold standard in my books. Hoppy citrus pine delight. drostj (113) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - MAY 29, 2017
Bottle. Strong, rich hop flavor well balanced with some citrus and pine. Pleasant aftertaste. Very nice IPA. WillemsUrenkel (1818) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2017
0,355 l botttle. Unclear bright orange with a nearly two finger head in the glass. Hopy tropical fruity and resin on the nose. Taste starts with a hopy shot, some tropical fruits, honey and malt and sweetness in the second row. Pleasant bitterness but no hop hammer. Really decent stuff. Reliable go to IPA if itís fresh. Perfect balance of malt foundation with just the right amount of hop bitterness.
Iíd prefer more hop nose.
I also wish theyíd print on bottles the brewed on date. Without that itís a crap shoot on whether youíre getting fresh or stale ale.
