Good, but adds nothing to regular BIgfoot. Insanely potent ginger nose leads you to believe the ginger reigns supreme in the pint, but--while there is a shitload of ginger in here--you still get strong notes of Bigfoot piney malt loveliness backed by oak and whisky. Caramel, dark fruit, resin, pine, and booze, all puddling around a candied ginger core. Again, not a bad pint at all, but the ginger mixing with the barleywine sweetness grows a bit soft drink-ish, especially when the whisky enters the fray. Tasty, but a little goes a long way. thomashall (1602) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - JAN 1, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2018 Bomber shared by Bvery, thanks buddy. Dark copper cloudy pour. Alot of ginger in the aroma. Ginger and whiskey mix nicely. Cool beer, not my flavor but good. jbdrinker (1) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 24, 2017 does not count
Too much ginger.... worst Sierra Nevada beer I’ve had. And I’ve had most.

Last beer of the day, 19th Dec 2017. On tap in Devilicious, Temecula. Red hue to the deep amber body, off-white head. Light ginger notes in both the aroma and taste, plenty of good maltiness too. Nice alcoholic bite to the brew. Ideal nightcap. arone12 (937) - Maryland, USA - NOV 22, 2017
Bought this at the brewery after a fun day. Pours a dark brown color with a thin white head. Smells heavily of ginger. Taste has a bunch of ginger at the forefront with some good hops and woody tastes at the end. Pretty tasty beer.

On tap @ Torpedo Room. Deep copper colored beer with an off-white head. I usually like Bigfoot, but I can't really get behind this one. It has sort of a booze and gingerbread cookie thing going on. Each sip makes the ginger flavor and aroma stronger. Fairly booze forward as well. Notes of vanilla, caramel, wood, and some woody/earthy hops. Just not my cup of tea. Light haze to a reddish pour with thin white head. Aroma is ginger and maybe licorice. Taste is like a sprigerle cookie. Anise heavy. Enjoyable. Emeister84 (2705) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - OCT 22, 2017
Strong ginger aromas, vanilla, floral. Clear dark red with a fully lasting off-white head. Slightly sweet, ginger spice, caramel. Full bodied, stemmy, tannic/bitter. Gerbeer (4212) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 17, 2017
Sierra Nevada trip in the woods ginger
On tap. Pours a deep mahahony with moderate head. Aromas of chocolate ginger. Flavors of same with brown sugar and sweet malts. Lots of sweetened ginger. Can't get much barrel but a really nice ginger beer. rougeau13 (3300) - Richmond, Texas, USA - SEP 3, 2017
Bottle. Dark, clear reddish amber with a khaki head. Aroma of ginger, caramel, dark fruits, orange peels, and a subtle amount of bourbon barrel. The taste is full of ginger and well balanced; sweet, bitter and just barely boozy. Medium-full bodied.
