Bottle sample at a tasting at zvsnís place. Clear brownish with small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, some herbs, honey, some hops and leafs. Balanced sweetness and sourness in the flavor, grassy, some herbs, light maltiness, some fresh fruits and notes of lemon. Medium carbonation, medium-bodied. chinchill (4929) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 14, 2015
served in pint glass at Taco Mac (from notes).
Pours a dark reddish mahogany with a short, and short-lived light tan head. Clear. Leaves some lacing despite scant head.
Somewhat weak aroma, but spicy hops are present with the expected malts. The aroma improves a little with warming. The malt balance seems a bit darker than usual; this becomes more obvious in tasting. Nicely nutty.
Nice dark roasted malt finish with a gentle and subtle hop presence.
O - a nice ABA and seasonal brew. zvikar (6068) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - DEC 30, 2014

Bottle at home. Solid brown ale. Great for the style. Pours an appealing brown with reddish hue. Some lacing. Quickly dissipating head. Nice roated malt and smoke on the nose. Drinks really smoothly with enough hops in there to keep in from being one dimensional and overly sweet. Definite smoke, toffee, citrus, roast and nutty notes in a really balanced way. Thoroughly enjoyable. beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - DEC 8, 2014
12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass.
Clear brown with a minimal beige head.
Nutty nose, with earth notes, light caramel and faint chocolate.
Soft roasty flavors, medium bitterness, nuts, brown sugar.
Slightly over carbonated, pretty balanced but lacks some maltiness. OK. Fantomasus (291) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 5, 2014
Pours a dark caramel/cola with a light tan head that dissipates. Slight aromas: caramel, iced coffee, floral, dough, and some vanilla. Like most of the Sierra stuff, very balanced flavor. Clean palate with some sticky. Decent. DSG (14685) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 1, 2014
