COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sierra Nevada uses malt within days of roasting at the peak of its flavor to give Tumbler a gracefully smooth malt character. Two-row pale, crystal 40, chocolate and smoked malts give it a malty complexity. Challenger hops in the boil add balancing bitterness, while more Challengers and some Goldings give just enough hop flavor in the finish to balance all that malt.

Poured into a pint glass. Appearance is a deep clear ruby with decent carbonation. The smell is of caramel and roasted malt with maybe a small amount of smoke along with a slight hoppy smell. The taste is very bready along with roasted malt and caramel/toffee. The smoke malt is evident but only slightly on the back end. There is a nice hop bitterness that leaves this beer finishing dry. I really like this beer and wish I would have picked up more of it this fall. Very well-suited to the season.

Has a chocolate, toasty flavor. A very nice deep brown color, very minimal head. Medium bitterness with a nice balance light sweetness. Medium body, with a lively carbonation.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Appearance is reddish-brown with a moderate tan head and moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel, light chocolate, and lightly roasted malt. Taste follows the nose. Very nice, a great beer for a cool autumn evening.

Dimpled Mug. Roasted malts and coffee, smells delicious. Poured a dark thin brown with almost no head, some lacing. Tastes of roasted malts, hint of coffee. Malty, carbonated mouthfeel. Great fall beer.

This is a great, fresh tasting beer. clean fermentation, not any off flavors i can pick up, good sweet semi-dark malty taste, more caramel than chocolate, but perfect hop finish, and not so heavy. fun to drink, perfect carbonation, not filling, and another slam dunk for sierra.

Really nice deep caramel look with a slightly smokey taste - thankfully not nutty just features the malt

On tap from Sierra at Sierra. Really looking forward to seeing the anny fall seasonal take a hike. Pours murky brown but quite dark with dark brown head. Right off the bat some peatyness and smoke very light but enough to already make me love it. Very balanced offering goes down smooth with a toasty malt entry and flavorful finish. I think this one matches celebration as thier best seasonal.

Bottle. What a nice sexy pour to start my football Sunday. Deep mahogoney with a blustery, poofy head. Nice mellow autumnal aroma. This drinks with the smoothness required for a mass market beer, yet delivers a nice little nutty/woodsy kiss to the schmacker. Quality as always from SNBC. (#3986, 9/19/2010)
