COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic European amber lager. It has bright reddish highlights and a pronounced bready malt aroma reminiscent of its Austrian counterparts. The flavor plays slightly toward caramel and toasted lager malt but remains balanced and drinkable with a clean finish perfect for a summer session.

4oz pour at the Max’s Taphouse Beer Camp event. Pours a clear orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose has a real distinct grainy character, nutty like peanut skins, plenty of yeasty dough, a bit of buttered toast. Flavor is spot on, yeasty bread, flicks of orange, some biscuit. Clean finish. So true to style.

Aroma is caramel, light fruit and malts. The flavor is fruit, caramel, light citrus and a mildly bitter/tart finish. Very easy to drink, among the best in the style.

12 oz bottle from the Sierra Nevada Fall Pack, packaged over 3 months ago and purchased at Biggie Wine & Liquor and poured into my Funkwerks goblet. Light amber-orange, slightly hazy appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of toasted grains, bready malts, floral notes, light spicy hops and a touch of fruit. Similar flavor, smooth and balanced with light malty sweetness and mild hop bitterness. Light to medium body, crisp and pretty clean with ample carbonation. Easy to drink, a pretty decent Vienna-style lager. Probably a bit bitter when fresh.
