Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, brief head. Strong perfumy aroma of banana esters and bubblegum. Sweet and honeyish, above medium bodied with clean rounded, solid mouthfeel. Moderately warming finish without bitterness. While stylistically a perfect rendition of a German Weizenbock it has a certain American feel to it favouring more direct and upfront appeal above depth. madmitch76 (24360) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2013

Cloudy orange beer, small white head. Semi dry and semi soft palate. Tiny bit of caramel wheat gives way to banana, bubblegum and then some mild orange citrus. Finishes semi dry with a carbonated sting. Decent.
Bottle at home in NH, shared with Charlie, as Beer Camp #37. Pours deep, cloudy gold with a medium foam head. Big wheat and yeast nose with hints of booze. Medium to big sweet flavor, moderate yeast notes, candi, some mild tartness. Medium to full in body with average, lively carbonation. Mild warming finish, lots of wheat and yeast, candi sugar. Very nice. Koelschtrinker (20208) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAR 20, 2012
Leicht süßer, recht hefiger Beginn mit vergorenen Bananennoten. Fruchtig, hell malzig, leichte und passende Alkoholigkeit. Dabei süffig und angenehm fruchtig. Rund, vollmundig, Gut! 7/12/11/11/12/11

On tap at The Rake. Cloudy gold, little head. Banana estery aroma. This is rubbish. Just all over the place. The alcohol doesn’t go with the banana, the hops don’t go with anything and the clove is pretty poor. I struggled to finish a half. Over carbonated too. You do get used to it, but it’s not a good beer and I passed up Dark Star Impy Stout on cask for this.??

Beer camp bottle thanks to Jcwattsrugger. Shared with Yanick. Pours cloudy apricot. White head. Nose/taste of citrus, banana, yeast, lemongrass, wheat and light coriander. Dryish citrus wheat finish. Medium body. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 23, 2011
A: The beer pours a hazed golden orange color with a finger or two of off-white head.
S: Big time banana to the nose. A moderate spice character, mostly clove, with plenty of sweet bread and caramel malts. Nice wheat character and a hint of bubblegum.
T: Great banana flavor along with some hints of orange. Clove gives a nice spiciness to the beer and there is plenty of sweet bread, toffee, and wheat. Really a nice flavor.
M: Medium in body and carbonation.
O: Easily the best beer in the Beer Camp pack and a pretty solid beer all around. bhensonb (15079) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 9, 2011

Draft at the brewpub. Very hazy, slightly orange gold with a creamy off-white smear. Aromas of citrus, banana and wheat/malt. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is some banana and spice over wheat/malt. Almost some wood. Lots of un-sweet fruit. Taste lingers.
Bottle poured a cloudy gold with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, banana, light citrus and a hint of clove. Palate was mediuim bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of wheat, yeast, banana, light citrus and a hint of clove with a smooth lingering banana finish. Scopey (14498) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2014
Keg at craft Clerko. It pours murky brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, spice, cloves, brown sugar, bruised banana and aniseed. The taste is toasty, earth, bruised banana, light spice, touch of alcohol, caramel, faint aniseed with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not bad. For a weizenbock.
