2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
OK, here we go. Never tried this one so i was hoping to find my first good American wheat beer here. These guys have some really good beers in their line-up.
Bottle, had this at bishops arms at the central station in Stockholm. Surprised to see mostly boring hazy light yellow look with mostly disappearing head. The smell was very surprising, very much grapefruit, grapes, flowers. Very fresh smell indeed, this could get interesting. But the taste was very weak, except for the light cherry taste and the strange pretty hoppy taste, which you never find in the European weissbiers or witbeers. Not as complex, fruit, floral or citric as some Belgian or German versions versions but still interesting. I could drink some of these on a hot afternoon in California but since it is winter here in Sweden and I still have some objectivity I rather take a different beer, seriously. Cheers.
Different, but excellent American wheat beer. Light aroma of citrus. Tastes light of cilantro and has a strong wheat beer flavor with clear notes of grapefruit. A wheat beer that is entirely its own and not leaning of the other major brands. It is in a class by itself, and I really like it. willisread (3544) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Hazy gold color with a medium-sized white head. Aromas of wheat, grain, banana and citrus. Body is a little thin and taste is a little too mild for my liking. Slightly bitter finish. slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2014
"is ehhh a word. nothing really to write about this one. totally standard, unspactacular beer. slightly hoppier, but thin. about the same as the crystal wheat, just looks a little diferent." POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2011
Good wheat beer, but a little thin and slightly sharp taste. Red ettikettes do not suit wheat beers. Rasmus40 (21689) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2011
Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, fruity and yeasty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 250508

An average wheat beer, nothing special, but not that bad either. Citrus flavor, light dry finish. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2011
An average wheat beer with typical notes of banana, spice, wheat and bread.
This one was good , but lacked the pop of say Hacher Pshor. Koelschtrinker (21171) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 7, 2011
8/11/12/11/12/11

Appearance: golden orange, nice foamy head. Aroma: wheat, lots of citrus, some bitter hops. Taste: light wheat, blast of citrus; hops are very balanced here. Finish: short, hint of citrus and wheat, smooth and crisp. Notes: Extremely refreshing summery citrus beer. Not terribly complex, but enjoyable around the barbecue. Seemed to be a combination of the Kellerweis and a summer ale. wlajwl (7006) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 13, 2011
UPDATED: APR 13, 2012 Coming from this brewery, a slight disappointment. Granted, the style of American Wheat Ale is a disappointment, but this is kind of average for this brewery, as opposed to the just avergage you get with AWAs.
