On tap at Churchkey. Served in a mini snifter. Pours a fair brown color with a short off-white head and some spots of lacing. The nose has a good wine-barrel presence, but that’s followed up with light acidity, including a bit of acetic acid. As it warms, a bit more red wine vinegar. Same for the flavor. Hazy brown pour. The aroma is very winey with lots of wood, sour notes, medium bodied, citrus. dark fruit (grape, cherry) lots wood and tannic finish.

Tap at CK. Low carbonation, deep amber to mahogany pour. Thin layer of foam. Bourbon nose moving to heavy golden raisins, super sweet grapes, and thick apples. The fiancee said it smelled like ice cider. Even moves to some sweet toffee and sweet cherries like Chinese Huangjiu or even types of fruity sake. Taste is clean, mild pepper, very little wine barrel character. Slight tannins and peppery Syrah in the finish. A bit too subtle to be picked out directly. On tap at Churchkey for the tap takeover. Huge oaky vanilla with funky wheat grain and crisp herbals lead to hints of chocolate and dark fruit. Tannic finish. Yummy, and very very woody.

On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours a cloudy brown color. The aroma is tannic with lots of wood, sour wine grapes, citrus peel, grape skin and light red wine vinegar. Pouring at the Saturday afternoon session of EBF. Pours a hazed brown with a thin beige head. Huge sweet wine, wood and oak. Medium bodied, loads of wine barrel. Sticky, chewy malt. Lots more wood. Draft at EBF. Pours a mahogany body with an off white head. Pepper clover tones with a vanilla accent. Bubble gum and candy sweetness dark furit with a mild vinous warming. Okay, but not as a saison.
