SvanteL (549) - SWEDEN - JAN 30, 2017

gyllenbock (9177) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 24, 2017
On tap at Akkurat, vintage 2014. Hazy amber with a medium head. Sweet with caramel, dried fruit, hints of vanilla and some oak. The body was medium and the finish with warming alcohol.

Christos (5787) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAY 2, 2016
(Sigtuna / Shepherd Neame Barley Wine) Bottle 330 ml from Nisse666, many thanks! Served into a snifter at home, ABV 10% Dark red brown colour on the body with a small and a bit thin dark beige head on top, with average retention. Aroma has caramel, dark fruits, light whiskey and alcohol, even some toffee. Taste follows with caramel and toffee, red and dark fruits, sugars, alcohol is there, light vanilla on the finish. Medium body with soft carbonation, sticky on the palate. Quite good.

Rune (12803) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 3, 2016
330ml bottle from a black box bought at Systembolaget Storheden, Luleå in May 2014. Stored in my cellar and shared with Finn and djoeye at a local drinking session. Amber-reddish coloured body topped by a filmy layer. Smell of bourbon and dried fruits. Plums and raisin to the taste buds joined by oak and caramel on a backbone of bourbon. Lingering aftertaste with integrated alcohol. Oily palate. Well bodied. Good drinking (Tromsø 01.02.2016).

Litt partikler. Dempet behagelig fruktaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken karamell. Balansert. Litt tørr etter hvert. Alkoholvarme i avslutninga.

djoeye (4605) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 1, 2016
Look; smalltop, unclear rosewood-ruby-amber. Particles. Aroma; newly washed fruit basket, fruit yeast, syrup notes. Taste; soft caramel, sweet resin, yeasty berries, almond pudding notes - finishes with a nice touch. Palate; solid, soft adequate carbonation. Overall; nice sipper.
Snygg.
