Bottle at Smöf 2013. Dark brown with light brown head. Aroma is dried fruits, chocolate, coffee. Very sweet taste, medium to full body, smooth mouthfeel. Much sweetness in the long warming finish. Staffan47 (908) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - OCT 29, 2013
Pyrmir (6210) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - OCT 26, 2013

Picked upp from cellar after 2 years of aging. This will be really interresting.
Pours dark with low off white head
Aromas of coffee, dark malts, alcohol, hints of cherries and vanilla
Wow! Very nice almost port wine like taste combined with coffee and chocolate taste from the malts. Definite brown sugars there as well. Creamy, full bodied, low bitterness, high sweetness. Very well balanced given it is 18.5 % Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 20, 2012
In short: A thick monster boozy dark beer, acceptable liquor-like sipper.Ktwse (5458) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2012
How: Bottle somewhere in Stockholm, at Man In The Moon most likely.
The look: Near black body topped by a beige tan ring of foam.
In long: Nose is hard-hitting with roast, booze and some fruity notes. Taste is very sweet, lots of roast (which helps hide some of the sweetness), burnt marshmallows, dried fruits, booze. Carbonation is very soft. The whole thing felt a bit like some kind of dark liqueur. Beer menu didn’t specified the abv so I was rather shocked when I saw the bottle. Of course the beer was brutal but maybe not as much as I would expect from such a monster. I had this beer in on of the many Swedish pubs I visited with my wife, and judging by the number of beer bars we ratebeer people drag our spouses to when we travail I’m starting to suspect ratebeer is funded by a firm of divorce lawyers.
Bottle, aged for two years. Pours dark brown to black with a fairly tall and thick frothy head, light beige to tan in color. Aroma is literally a punch in the face! Wow! Take a deep breath... Ok, let’s see... Well, this is definitely an imperial stout, and yes, the ABV is high. It’s incredibly complex, yet very direct, no subtleties about it. There’s a ton of roasted malt, coffee, wood and oak barrels. But also vanilla, licorice and, yes, a hint of dark chocolate (although not as rich as one might expect). There’s cask alcohol in there as well. Initial taste is an assault on the taste buds, there’s a super strong alcohol sweetness up front, with a clear hint of port wine. After that, it slowly turns back into an imperial stout, with a more balanced vanilla sweetness and coffee bitterness before the alcohol starts creeping up again in the infinite finish. Body is thick, rich, creamy and full, with a low but present carbonation that helps balance up all the sweetness. This is definitely something special, had it at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival two years ago, then shared a bottle with a friend a couple of months later. Returning to it now, it has definitely matured very very well. As far as super high ABV imperial stouts go, I rate it vastly higher than Tokyo, and while it might not necessary match the best out there (Stone RIS, Expedition Stout, Kaggen, Speedway Stout to name a few), it’s certainly a unique experience and deserves credit for that. blafa (511) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2012

Pours dark red-brown with dark brown head. Big heavy and sweet aromas of caramels, dark fruits, chocolate and toffee. Body is full and the texture smooth as silk. Dried fruits, chocolate and caramel in the taste, almost resembles a barley wine of sorts. Warming and boozy as well. Quite tasty!
Draught at SMÖF 2011. Black beer with a beige head. Dried fruits, malt and caramell aroma. Sweey, hoppy flavour with a bit too big alcoholtaste, otherwise a really nice beer :-)
