Tasted 2010-12-29. Pours clear, red/brown with big, grey/beige head. Aroma is smokey with cocoa and ever so slight metallic. Taste is very smokey. The smoke dominates a bit too much of the flavour, but it doesn’t ruin the beer. Overall its a bit weak and watery. konstifik (573) - SWEDEN - JUN 12, 2010
Pitch black at a first look but turns ruby red against a strong light source. Created a hugh tanned head that diminished to, well, nothing. Soy sauce, bitter chocolate, coffee, smoke, tar and liquorice. Dry taste with a burned bitterness. The body is a bit light and I would want a bigger body to carry all those dark flavors. andersand (531) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 1, 2009
Dark brown red, close to black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, coffe’ish, light and bright. Flavour is the same but more watery with a thin roasted finish and notes of caramell. Mouthfeel is medium with a pleasant amount of carbonation. Ljunkan (530) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - OCT 3, 2009
Bottle, thanks to Fredrik. Pours a black colour with a nice beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour is nicely malty and roasted with coffee, chocolate, and liquorice. Medium bitterness. Body is medium, and the texture is slightly oily. Quite dry. Very balanced and nice. blafa (511) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 14, 2011

Pours dark brow, almost black with a minimal beige head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, light chocolate notes and a hint of coffee. Taste filled with flavours of roasted malt and coffee with a pleasant sweetness. Nice schwarz!
Bottle. Black with small cream colored head. Roasted malt, slight smoke. Low bitterness. Overall a very nice schwarzbier. ricke (476) - Malme, SWEDEN - NOV 11, 2009
Dark brown with a rather small off-white head that settles into a fine ring of lacings.
The smell is quite mild with a gently smoky and caramel-like maltiness to the fore. Notes of charred wood, chocolate and just a hint of smoked ham. A dash of floral hops raps it up. I like the smoky aromas, but all in all, the smell isn’t very impressive.
The taste is actually quite boring as it is basically a milder replicate of the smell. Malts dominate with notes of dark bread, charred wood, caramel and a hint of toffee. Slightly roasty. The smoky aromas are very muted and not as prominent as in the smell. Some decent floral hop notes. Flavors are rather sweet. The finish is short and bland - a gentle bitterness mixes with some notes of malts and leafy hops.
Moderate body, medium carbonation.
There’s nothing in this beer that makes it interesting. The combination of smoke and chocolate in the smell is promising, but the taste don’t live up to such a promise. There’s nothing wrong with it I guess, it’s just boring.
