(Draught at Monk’s Sveavägen) Poured almost black and clear with medium sized and lightly brown coloured head. Aroma was roasty and chocolaty. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, burntness, hint of metallicness, bitterness, coffee and ash. Aftertaste was ashy and burnt. larsga (7675) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 10, 2011
Medium beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Dusty toffee and caramel aroma with roasty wild berry and chocolate notes. Very vivid and harmonic. Dry roasty grainy chocolatey taste with coffee, metal, and fruit notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry roasty grainy burnt aftertaste with oats and resin notes. Excellent! The best dry schwarzbier I’ve ever had. (0.5l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.) Geokkjer (7663) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 29, 2012

500ml Bottle - Black in colour with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee, plain chocolate and some faint smoky hints. Roasted taste with coffee, chocolate and some very light smoked hints. Very enjoyable and it has lots of body. Nice and smooth and easy to drink. Borresteijn (7602) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 10, 2011
50cl Bottle via trade with SaintMatty, thanks Matt. Black colour, off white greyish head. Aroma of coffee, leather, ash, dark malts. Flavour is light sweet, coffee, leather, malts, nuts, dry light hoppy bitter finish with some roast. Light bodied. Smell is more pronounced than the flavour, but I liked this one a lot.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2011 It poured a dark brown liquid with a small brown foam that left no lacing. It smelled of cigarrs, soy sauce, chocolate and something burned. It tasted of burned toast, chocolate and smoke. The mouthfell was dry. larsniclas (7285) - Billdal, SWEDEN - SEP 5, 2009
