UPDATED: SEP 26, 2010 Bottle. I love smoked licorice. I love this beer! Lots of flavors (chocolate, coffee etc.), yet easy to drink and refreshing. Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 6, 2009
(Bottle) Pours dark brown with red hints. Pale nougat coloured head. The aroma is medium to heavily roasted with burned notes. Tones of salty soy, new asphalt, burned/smoky rubber, cigar ash, green pepper/gravel/parsley-like coffee, dry cocoa/dark grainy chocolate, burned caramel, dark bread, nutshells and salty black liquorice. The nose is dry and clean with some “green-ish” hops lurking in the background. The flavour holds some sweetness alongside light to medium bitterness. Tones of caramel, sweet liquorice, soy, dark bready wort, coffee and chocolate (what a surprise). Hops are earthy and green. The mouthfeel is clean and light peppery with a near medium carbonation. Mild earthy roast, light mint and sweet liquorice in the finish. Light to medium bodied. TEJA (3056) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 12, 2012

04.12.2010. 0,5l Bottle from Systembolaget Charlottenberg, Sweden. Black colour with off-white head. Malty aroma with smooth bitterness. Medium body with roasted malt. Nice beer with good flavours. TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2011
Pours a very dense, dark, reddish-brown, verging on black, with a thick brown head.
The aromas signal smoothness - roasted malts, milk chocolate, cappucino rather than coffee, smoke, licorice, hops, ashes.
Dry, medium bodied, medium bitterness, lively CO2.
Roasted malt and coffee dominate the taste, chocolate, hops, licorice, ashes.
There’s an acidity, most likely from the roasted malt, that leaves the finish a bit astringent, and it feels as if a bit more body would have been great. Still quite nice and balanced. (2011-11-05)
