Taste: Initially sweet, raisins and dried dates, sour apples, some sherry, dark chocolate, nuts and cherry seeds.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, soft with small bubbles.

500ml Bottle - Black in colour with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee, plain chocolate and some faint smoky hints. Roasted taste with coffee, chocolate and some very light smoked hints. Very enjoyable and it has lots of body. Nice and smooth and easy to drink. Rune (12627) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 9, 2009
500ml bottle bought at Systembolaget in Linköping. Steady, tan coloured head. Almost mahogany in body appearance with great clarity. Rich and attractive aroma of cocoa malts. Earthy malts in flavour developing into the smooth taste of chocolate, cocoa and a few hints of cinnamon spices, and ending with notes a bitter roastiness. Rounded mouth feel. Well made and a pleasure to drink (shared with Finn, Tromsø 01.12.2009).

Black color, with medium sized creamy head, and apparently high carbonation. The coffee aroma is truly convincing. Dry mouthfeel, smooth too; delicate, harmonious coffee flavor, chocolatey; the aging added a light yeasty (cheesy, ammonia) touch, creating a delicious result.

Dark mahogany color. Nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate, with cereals and nuts, a bit dusty too. Medium body structure, actually thinner in the end; dark caramel flavor with sme chocolate, possibly too dry in the end; there is a very light final liquorice touch; correct bitterness. Elegant but nothing special.
50cl Bottle via trade with SaintMatty, thanks Matt. Black colour, off white greyish head. Aroma of coffee, leather, ash, dark malts. Flavour is light sweet, coffee, leather, malts, nuts, dry light hoppy bitter finish with some roast. Light bodied. Smell is more pronounced than the flavour, but I liked this one a lot. pilsnerrogge (2935) - Finspång, SWEDEN - SEP 29, 2009

Dark (almost black) colour, small-ish head. Coffee and liquorice aroma. Dry and toasted flavour with notes of coffee, hops and smoke. Long dry aftertaste.
Deep black colour, small tan head, lacing. Aroma is heavily roasted and a bit acidic, coffe and smoke. Flavour is rich, roasted, coffee, smoke and with a nice bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth with small bubbles. This is really good! Sigtuna is very much an up and coming brewery at the swedish micro brewery scene. Finn (7516) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 3, 2009
Flaske 0,5l delt med Rune. Dyprød/svart på farge. Veldig høyt kremaktig skum med litt farge. Sterk aroma med litt ristet malt & kaffe. Deilig på smak: Kaffe & ristet malt. Langvarig ettersmak i samme gate. Minner mye om en porter. Kanskje litt uvariert - men bevares: Denne kunne jeg ha drukket mye av. KI=2
