The last beer of my 10-day Scandinavia trip to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, I have to thank wickedestman for this. Needed something to wet my palate while I rated the beers of the last two days and this worked quite nicely. No head when poured, it’s a very thick sipping beer with a pretty obvious alcohol content. More coffee than chocolate in the aroma, but a well-balanced body. Pretty solid stuff

Svesse (8613) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2015
(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, black rye bread, cacao, liquorice, a hint of coconut and bourbon. Malty, roasted taste with sweet coffee, oak wood, treacle, vanilla, coconut, black rye bread, a touch of bourbon and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Possibly a bit vinous and crude, but tasty with a balanced bourbon character. Might gain from some more ageing. Nice one.

Found this beer in the back of my cellar. Last of ten beers. Forgot I had it still. This beer is almost two years old now. Not much on the nose. Slight hint of bourbon. Not much more. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side, low to almost no carbonation. Palate is even there only a slight hint of bourbon. Some coffe on the backend. The dark malts shows through. Almost a little astringent on the finish. Quite tannic finish.

Pours black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of malts, some bourbon and oak and vanilla, a lot of chocolate.

Vignale (3841) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 17, 2015
Flaska från SB i snygg papperslåda. Riktigt mörkt brun, närmast opak, i princip inget skum. Trevlig.
