Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours very dark brown with a small tanned head. Aroma of light roasted coffee and sweet toffee. Taste is light sweet fruitiness, solid dark malty body, got that moreish feeling about it, very well made and a good session beer.

rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 29, 2012
Aroma: The smell is brown bread crust, nuts, bitter oranges, wet grass and a mossy earthy nuance.
Appearance: The beer is dark brown red black ... a tan head, high and foamy, settling and leaving much lacing. Small curtains.
Taste: Starts very sweet, brown sugar, toast, roasted malt, dark dried forest fruits, bitter oranges, grape-fruit peel, some nettles.
Palate: Medium carbonation, small bubbles, soft and foamy feeling, slightly oily with a dry finish.
Overall: More taste and pleasure then expected from a dark lager, for me at least.
Note: Bottle 330 ml. Reviewed 2011-09-19.

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 27, 2012
draft at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. medium body, velvety texture and creamy but light carbonation present toasted grains and touches of rye and cardamom well. a light bit of roast and smoked wood present. amazing balance and close to the perfect texture (doughy, light, pillowy) for the medium-low sweetness and low hop rate. with time and warmth it gets a tad watery but the flavor remains splendid. Sigtuna lagers seems to be spot on.

courtesy of Per - violent gusher ... pours a hazy dark brown beer under a persistent beige foam; very toasted malty aroma with notes of cookies and chocolate; notes of hazelnuts; creamy palate and with a respectable malt backbone; gently bitter and moderately dry; long malty biscuity finish with some hoppy tones - very pleasant

33cl bottle, courtesy of and shared with Gnoff.

(Bottle) Pours clear dark mahogany brown with a nougat coloured head. The aroma is malty up front with notes of nuts, dark toffee, chocolate roast and dark bread. Undertones of herbs, earth and oranges. Clean and robust nose with a well structured malt bill. The flavor is light sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic. Tones of chocolate/coffee roast and herbal/light citric hops alongside nuts, burned butter cookies and dark bread. The mouthfeel is clean and round with near medium carbonation. Light crisp finish with chocolate roast and a tad bit too much bitter hops. Light to medium bodied.
