UPDATED: SEP 2, 2011 500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges when held to the light. Fruity and slightly roasted aroma with notes of nuts, marzipan, caramel and dried fruit. The finish is moreish and nicely balanced with fruity, sweet and roasted elements all vying for attention.

Gusgus (237) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - SEP 23, 2011
Bottle @home. Drk brown, almost black colour. Off-white head. Malty aroma with a slight acrid roasted note. Hints of chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is similar to aroma. Medium bodied with a full malty palate. Creamy vanilla from the Munich malt combined with roasted and toasted caramel and chocolate. Feel very much like a pale porter. The bitterness comes in the aftertaste to balance and give an impression of dryness. Very nice and drinkable beer, but maybe just a bit too roasted for the style.
