UPDATED: JUL 18, 2012 multiple bottles. made with cornmalt, so I guess fitting in with the classic American lager more than vienna, but whatever. really quite interesting, flavorful and well-balanced, from first sip to last. striking malt cleanliness with a wonderfully toasty corn kernel and barley and wheat malt character; minimal yeast but what is there is doughy and adds to the richness. clean semi-sweet flavor of toasted grains and just-caramelized honey, and the bottle conditioning provides a firmness and denseness which with the light body is well-suited. flavorful rigid malt, moderately hopped, pillow firm carbonation, light, low hop-rate... sticky and snappy but never too big or sweet. a malt showcase. superb! and from the bottle! would love to try on tap but never found it. 5.2% toasty firm / full carbonation bottle-conditioned lager. there’s a balance reached in this beer that NAILS it for me. reminds me of Ayinger Jahrhundert. god damn I love lager. ernie and jeff your bottles await you! Botella de 500ml. Vaso Lager. Saboreada en may´12. Color dorado anaranjado. Espuma blanca que crea una corona tupida con bastante buena retención. Aromas de maltas dulces. Sabor de malteado leve y paladar seco. Final amargo y agradable resina en el retrogusto. Matices de piel cítrica. Realmente una buena Lager.
500ml bottle. Lager glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Orangish gold in color. White froth creates a close, fairly well retention, head. Sweet malt aromas. Mildy malty flavor & dry palate. Bitter finish & gentle resiny aftertaste. Hints of citric zest. Real good Lager.

Have noted rated much other than top 50 or mead recently but this one was such a nice surprise. Pours nice and light. Wonderful biscuity malt aroma with notes of hops. Flavor was wonderful malt, biscuity, corn, and cereal with a wonderful mild sweetness. A good does of hops had to be used as there were strong wonderful grassy notes pushing through all that malt. It finishes with a bit of bitterness, in an other wise mildly dry finish. Really hit the spot on a hot Florida night. We need more lagers like this one. They are such wonderful beers when done right. Wish I had more. Thanks for the share Timo. Really really enjoyed this one.
