Den hr len gillade jag, kroppen r s slt och krmig att jag blir alldeles till mig. Smaken br inslag av karamell, rostad malt, stma och en svag ton av rkighet. Det hr r helt enkelt en bra och vlbalanserad sak.

330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours vinous deep reddish brown with a very small golden brown head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, biscuits, raisins, prunes, wood, banana liqueur, sweet dark bread, slightly dry grass, resin, toffee and alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and tiny metallic with sweet dark bread, raisins, prunes, hay, charred wood, alcohol, alcohol, biscuits, christmas fruit cake, moist soil and hints of cherries in brandy. Mouthfeel is round, slightly sticky sweet, vinous, flat and medium bodied. Finish is sweet, tiny bitter and tiny sour with sweet dark bread, raisins, prunes, charred wood, alcohol, moist soil and lemon zest. Theyre close to something good here. A pity its completely flat and slightly unbalanced.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2014 330 ml bottle. Dark brown with orange head. Heavy malt aroma with burnt sugar, some basement notes. Full body with a kind of thick feeling to it. Taste: alcohol, plums, sour coffee. Almost no carbonization.

En mycket spritig doft. Smaken r ganska tung med stora (nstan lite vl stora) toner av soya. Hr fins ven kryddor och en smak av arrak. Ganska st och allt fr obalanserad. Kanske blir bttre med ngra r p nacken.

Bottle (SBWF2012)
Caramel aroma. Sweet palate, smooth, gentle carbonation. Mashy and mesy. More a schwarz than an ale. Sub-par for these guys. Lesson: dont pretend you know what a Scotch Ale is.

Disappointing head I have to say, barely half a finger. Muddy colour like swamp water. Sweet, murky almost like fudge aroma. Taste is a pleasant surprise. Sweet, similar to the aroma. Pretty good but not sure I will drink it again since there are so many good beers out there.

Bottle. Almost clear brown liquid with minimal off-white head. Aroma of caramel, raw sugar, butter, dark fruit and grain. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of grain, caramel and raw sugar. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Quite allright.

Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges and a slight haze. Dundee cake (how apt!), marzipan and almonds in the aroma. Rich taste with notes of roasted malt, fruitcake and caramel.
