500ml bottle. Pours a medium straw, with small lumps of sediment, and a frothy white head. Hoppy aroma with lots of fruitiness, malts, citrus, apricot, peas (!), earth (hops?), slightly soapy. Dry, medium body and bitterness, lively CO2. Hoppy, citrusy taste, apricots, malt, earthy hops, yeast, soap. A bit thin body for all those hops, and the palate feels a bit scorched afterwards, maybe due to the high carbonation? (2011-09-03)

Precis s ofrarglig smakar faktiskt len. Ingen vilseledande marknadsfring hr heller.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with an off-white head. Nice aroma of floral hops, nuts and caramel. The flavor has malty notes of nuts, caramel and toffee, but a grassy, harsh, and very tannin-like bitterness ruins the taste for me.

Bottle from Systembolaget. It poured an almost clear brown-orange liquid wiht a medium sized lightly beige head. It had a very malty smell with spiced hard bread and dark spiced bread. Also a but chemical. Similar taste with malt, dark bread, hard bread, and a burned bitterness that sticks around for quite some time. Dry with little to no sweetness. The bitterness makes it feel harsh, but the mouthfeel is actually quite lean. Light body and low carbonation. A dry and malty beer that doesnt feel brittish. Not bad, but I would have loved a bit more sweetness to balance the burned bitterness.

Foamy tinted head. Copper color, smell of grapes and juniper. Sturdy hoppiness, heavy grapefruit and dry apricots. British late summer must be very chilly, Id call this a winterwarmer was it slightly sweeter.

I might have a slight cold or something cause Im not getting much of an aroma from this one. Nice copper color though and it opens up somewhat once you drink it when the flavour of the, Im guessing, Bramling Cross hops shine through. At least it has some of that hard to pin down, bitter and spicy blackcurrant flavour combined with a hefty dose of butterscotch. Decent but nothing spectacular.
