COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle 50 cl, SB. Pours murky dark brown with a big creamy light brown head leaving lacing. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, bready and licorice. Mouthfeel is almost velvety, but a bit acidy as well, medium body. Flavor is acidy and sourish, roasted malts, a bit metallic, a bit bitter, bready, coffee and licorice. Finishes quite shortlived dry and bitter.

_angst_ (4810) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 14, 2011
Bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on September 14. Pours back with a massive mocha head. Smells alot of coffee mixed with some dark chocolate. Taste is a bit thin and dominated by coffee. There is a distinct chocolate flavour to the aftertaste with a slight hoppy bitterness. Nice but would have liked an intenser palate.

ekstedt (6948) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 14, 2011
Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Dark brown, almost black, medium beige head. Typical earthy brown malt aroma with notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Dry with firm bitterness. Would have preferred it a bit sweeter.

Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 9, 2011
(Bottle) Pours dark brown with a light brown head. The aroma holds coffee powder, dark bread and grains up front. Undertones of salty soy, burned cookies, resin, hard roasted nuts, salt, liquorice root, crisp bread, old cigar, old wood house, wet ashtray and wet earth. Just a touch of hops in the background – resin, spices and herbs. I am a malt head so this beer is right up my alley. The flavor is light sweet to dry, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic in the finish. Tones of burned coffee, soy, crisp bread, earthy hops, cigar smoke, ashtray, roots burned cookies and hard roasted nuts. The mouthfeel is round, soft and light velvety with a light tom medium carbonation. Burned coffee, dark bread and balanced hoppy finish lingers. Medium bodied. Really good.
