gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 22, 2010
Bottle. Cloudy light yellow, no head. Spicy aroma with honey and some flowers. Sweet taste of honey and some flowers. Reminded a lot of tart white wine No bitterness, a very special taste indeed.

Joakgust (1466) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 20, 2009
tap - Slightly hazy pale golden colored beer with almost no head. Aroma is very spicy with hints of honey, and white wine. The flavor is sourish with strong notes of honey. Pretty ok mead.

Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2008
(On tap) Hazy pale golden with a small white head. Very spicy nose with some honey. Medium body, again very spicy with tartness completely dominating. Actually the finish is almost astringently sourish. A very different mead. 180908

ekstedt (6932) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2008
Bottled at SMÖF 2008. Very pale golden, minimal head. A bit weird and synthetic aroma of honey and elderberries. Spritzy mothfeel! Well balanced and quite dry.

KimJohansen (10510) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2008
Cloudy champagne colour with no head. Sweet aroma with Notes of glue, honey and flowers. Sourish flavour with honey and floral notes. Strange mead.

Ungstrup (38138) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2008
Draft at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. An unclear light yellow mead with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of flowers as well as medium notes of honey. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of both honey and flowers, with notes of rosehips coming towards the finish. Nice body.

fiulijn (20993) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 5, 2007
Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007
Cloudy light blond color. Sparkling, and the aroma is affected by that; some aroma of Muscadel wine, even if not so sweet. Sweet flavor, medium mouthfeel, not sticky, with light acidity, light citrus fruits, grape juice. Quite weird.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - SEP 28, 2007
Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. Pale yellow color with no head. Perfumed nose with notes of honey, whisky and apple skin. Vinous and appley flavor with distinctive notes apple skin, alcohol and whisky. Hints of ginger and pepper also.

gnoff (10713) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 24, 2007
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 2007) Shady pale light straw yellow color, sweet vinous scent. Sweet, alcohol bitter taste. Alcohol taste as well. Sour acidic wine type mouthfeel, no bitterness.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2007
Lemonade opaque looking. Light sparkle. Refreshing, light lemon and grapefruit notes come out in front of the grassy, clover? honey sweetness. Biscuity even with a mild acidity to stand by. Actually pretty good flavour balance. The 10% ABV feels smaller, it drinks very easily while producing a heat wave in the throat. Honeyed cough candy. Medium bodied, tiny astringency backs thesweetness. Lovely field wild flowers finale. I obviously enjoyed this a lot more than others. the brewer seemed very proud of this new batch. I’ve certainly never seen a mead that looked like unfiltered lime and lemon juice.
