Pours a deep copper brown colour with a large, thick head. The aroma has subtle notes of vanilla, clove and aniseed. Flavour is slightly roasted and has notes of vanilla and clove followed by a long bitter orange-bitterness.
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2010 Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of cardemomme, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardemomme, malt, caramel, and cloves, leading to a dry spicy finish. Gr0ve (2176) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2010
500 ml bottle. Dark brown with red hues. Clear. Medium-sized light beige fine laced head that clings to the glass. Delicate spicy aromas. Hints of cinnamon and cacao. Crisp bitterness on the tongue, but this nicely balanced by malt complexity. Dry powdery texture. Yeasty notes. Clean lightly bitter finish. Excellent Christmas beer. Nicely balanced and very drinkable. Love it. TBone (17987) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 18, 2010

First to rate Swedish beer in Finland :) Dark ruby color, small but steady creamy beige head. Cinnamon, cardamon - spicey aroma with light caramel. Crisp carbonation at first, medium-bodied. Wow! This beer is complex! Licorice mixed with spices ... clove, coffee, roasted malts, anise and hops. Some flavors cause maybe too much chaos in this brew, but this is a beer with personality!
Bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a dark hazy amber liquid with a big beige head. Smell of spices, orange peels, star anis, cloves, vanilla and chocolate. Similar taste but also some caramel malt. Mostly smooth mouthfeel with a thick body and medium amount of carbonation. Nice balance with the spices, none of them takes over but still enough to make it interesting.

Bottle. Dark copper red with a foamy beige head. Aroma: Christmas spices, orange, some julmust. Taste: fruit (also dried) Christmas spices, glögg, malt, caramel, some licorice, some grapefruit, low to medium bitterness. Medium-bodied. Good combination of spices, nice Christmas feel. Smak och doft av choklad, vanilj, stjärnanis, laktris, humle, pommerans, en aning rök och blommer. Torr med en god beska. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2010
Bottle. Pours out in a cloudy mahogany appearance with a medium-zed lasting bubbly head. Quite spicy aroma of anise-seeds, cloves, caramel, orange-peels and toasted malts. Medium-bodied with balanced notes of caramel, cloves, anise, fudge, toasted malts and orange-peels. Medium-bitter finish of orange-peels, cardamom, caramel and spicy hops. This is not a spice-bomb, more like a rather harmonious spiced ale. Quite tasty, this. Svesse (8731) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 12, 2011
(Bottle) Dark brown colour with huge, foamy, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, roasted, spicy nose with anise, liquorice, ginger, clove, nutmeg, chocolate, wort and dark bread. Roasted, spicy taste with notes of liquorice, anise, clove, ginger, chocolate, orange peel, caramel and dark bread. Finish is quite spicy, with a mild bitterness. Medium body with a slightly spritzy mouthfeel. Balanced sweetness. Very spicy and quite nice beer. SaintMatty (7476) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 29, 2010
500ml Bottle (Tack Nina :) ) - Dark brown with some red tinges when held to the light. Spicy aroma with hints of spiced orange, nutmeg, cinnamon and fruitcake. Spicy, fruity and slightly sweet taste with fruitcake, spiced orange and hints of Christmas pudding. Rather complex and there’s a lot going on, but I don’t think I’d be able to drink too much of it.
