Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, licorice, caramel, citrus and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, coffee, licorice and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Nearly black, brown head. Very nice. Chocolatey and roasty with good coffee flavor. Some molasses and plums as well. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 5, 2014
2014-09-30. Black body, nice brown head fades. 3+ Lightly fruity alcoholic dark malt, moderate roast malt. 7++ Flavour is similar, rich sweet dark malt character, fruity lightly tangy accents, notes of dusty cocoa. Light alcohol throughout is delicate considering how strong it is, moderately warming in the throat. Smooth medium to full bodied has light carbonation. Pretty nice. Bottle, brought to me by Robbie. Dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma features prominent dark dried fruits, light soy, and a little alcohol. The palate is silky, low in carbo and medium bodied. Flavours of dried figs and dates dominate, with some bitter chocolate and a bit of roast. Fruit acids lighten the finish. Nice. gnoff (10226) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - DEC 15, 2012
