COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

0,33 l bottle.
This beer rocks! Huuuge beige head tha does not allow me to pour out all the beer...really deep brown-black appearance with this beige foam-sculpture on the surface. I have to be calm, calm and calm! Fine fruity aroma allure me but i have to be calm....Let’s pour out the whole bottle with all the sediment. After a succesfull action the fruity aroma opens. Blackcurrant, some wild-berries are mixed with pine and resin, molasses and cocoa, dark chocolate. After a slip the taste bomb explodes. Full, fine and creamy mouthfeel brings a balanced palate with a fine carbonation. Fruits with dark chocolate, berries with molasses, vanilla with tobacco, ash and smoke with pine and resin - that rules the aftertaste. Awesome, good, fine. Yumm, give me some more bottles, please!

330ml bottle. Pours nearly black, with brown edges, and a brown head. Spicy, roasted aroma, with quite a lot of resiny hop notes, grapefruit, spruce, caramel, chocolate, coffee. Off-dry, medium to full bodied, high bitterness, creamy CO2. Hoppy, roasted taste, spruce, grapefruit, ashes, grass, chocolate, coffee, tobacco. This one balances somewhere between a “proper” Black IPA and a hoppy porter. You could wish for a little more punch in the hoppiness, but the balance as it is now makes it all the more drinkable. En svart öl med ett ljusbrunt skum. Doftar kaffe och choklad från den rostade malten och citrus och tallbarr från humle. Samma går igen i smaken, en torr, trevlig munkänsla.

Aroma: Dark fruits, red berries, coffee and dark chocolate. Some roasted grains and smoke.
Appearance: A dark dark brown brew, a tan high head with good lacing
Taste: Black rye bread, bramble marmalade, dried figs, coffee and soy sauce.
Palate: Low carbonation, sticky, big body and a coarse dry finish.
Overall: A very dark and rather harsh brew, not for the faint hearted.
Note: Bottle. Reviewed 2012-09-07.

Ar: licorice, salt, chocolate, roastiness, very onedimensional, lacking complexity. Ap: black colour, medium Brown head, lacing. F: licorice, salty, ashy, coffee, astringent bitterness, thin despite ABV again onedimensional. M: medium body sharp carbonation. T: Drinkable, but all bark and no bite.

Bottled. Pours black with a big brown head. Smells roasted malt, fruity hoppy. Tastes creamy fruity hoppy, abit alcohol with a similar finish.

LoFi (1741) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 8, 2012
Bottle. Very dark with dark beige to light brown head. Aroma: creamy, roasted, light oats, something else I can’t place. Taste: lots of licorice, dark wine gums, dark chocolate, some burnt sugar, some kind of tropical fruit, but overall quite light in the hoppiness, medium bitter with pine in the finish. Medium-bodied, smooth. A much debated beer. I would have hoped for a hoppier beer for sure. But if we disregard the style and whether it is a bad example or not, this one tastes nice.

Någon berättade för mig att det här var en högst medioker öl men jag håller inte med. Smaken är visserligen väldigt spretig och obalanserad men hag gillar den ändå. Slutsats: ingen finess men en bra käftsmäll ändå.
