Draught (backlog). Deep ambery brown colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is leathery, some toasted caramel, mild ripe fruits. Flavour is smoked wet wood, mild leathery and spicy notes along with some caramel and mild earthy notes. Nice smoked/spiced/leathery aftertaste. Hides the alcohol surprisingly well.

Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma of burnt sugar, roasted malt and liquorice. Taste is quite sweet, roasted malt, light bitter, malty, liqourice and dark chocolate. The palate is full body, oily and no carbonation. Long finish but not so bitter. Its well balanced. The taste is better than the aroma.

Bottle at ÖBWF 2010. It poured a hazy dark ruby-amber liquid with a small light beige head. Flavour of malt, raisins and caramel. Very malty with a very well hidden alcohol. I hope they go ahead and release this beer at some point.
