In short: A roasted and fruity big porter/stout. Nice beer.Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 10, 2012
How: Tap at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg Sweden (an aged older keg I think)
The look: Black body topped by a very small dark-beige head
In long: The timid nose is a bit on the fruity side with roasty notes reminiscent of charcoal. Taste is a mix between heavily roasted cereals, juicy dark fruits, earth and some vanilla. Big contrasts between the various flavor elements but somehow the whole thing works. In some ways a Swedish Porter is like a Norwegian Stout, both cannot play the harmonica or fix a sandwich.
(Draught) Pours near black. The aroma is chocolaty and light caramelly. Undertones of friendly hops and coffee as well as hints of berries. The flavour is light to medium sweet, light bitter and light acidic. Tones of chocolate, coffee, light hops, berries and tar. Hop bitter finish. The mouthfeel is clean with a lively carbonation. Medium bodied. larsniclas (7187) - Billdal, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2010

300ml draught, poured into a St Feuillien glass at De Klomp. Shining, beige head over an almost inky black body. Delicate aroma of cocoa and coffee malts. Lots of dark and dried fruits in the flavour character, on a straight malty backbone. Vinous in the mouth, but not too heavy or thick (Linköping, 05.02.2010). ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2009

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Black color. Sweet aroma with chocolate, licorice and coffee. Sweet flavor with licorice, raisins and old coffee. Low bitterness. Aroma is better, old coffee note in the flavor is a litle disturbing.
