COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Copper/ruby with a beige head that doesn’t stay long. Aroma: freshly ground coffee, cocoa powder, light sourish vinous, maybe light rancid butter. Taste: sweet, honey, sweat, coffee, licorice, boozy, earthy, dried fruit, marmalade candy with apricot flavour. Full bodied. Not that enjoyable.

TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - NOV 27, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a medium copper, with a thin white head. Malty, spicy aroma, caramel, vanilla, toffee, apricot, alcohol, dried fruits. Semi-sweet, full bodied, medium bitterness, creamy CO2. Malty, spicy taste, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, hops, figs, marzipan. Quite complex, albeit a bit schizophrenic. Will probable mellow out nicely with time. (2012-11-27)

(Bottle). The aroma is musty with elements of sour smoke and horse stables. The same musty aromas is also in the taste which also has elements of black currants, sweet caramel, vanilla and acidic bitter alcohol. I love the taste of black currants but that taste in combination with vanilla does not work well! No, this is not my kind of beer!

Way to sött och spritigt.

Pyrmir (6170) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2012
330 ml bottle. Purs deep amber with thin orange head. Aroma deep malt, caramel, raisins. Flavor surprisingly mellow. Well balanced, good bittering. The vanilla is discreet and a bit dour.

Svesse (8694) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2013 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 6 Oct 2012) Amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots, vanilla and honey. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, apricots, vanilla, honey, hints of oak wood and brown sugar in the finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Well balanced and quite tasty. Nice one. (7/4//7/4/14=3.6) Rerate: (Bottle, 18 Dec 2013) Reddish amber colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, rye bread, treacle toffee, caramel, black-currant and a whiff of alcohol. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, marmalade candy, rye bread, treacle toffee, black-currant, vanilla and a balanced herbal bitterness in a finish with a vinous touch of alcohol. Almost full body, fairly sweet. There’s some vanilla around, but most of it is hidden behind alcohol and a sugary sweetness. Not very well balanced, but interesting and quite nice.
