Rik smak, komplex och med ett nyansschema som välver sig över en. Om styrkan bara vridits upp ett hack hade det varit en vinnare.

Golden/orange colour, bubbly white head. Aroma of yeast, oranges and spices. F: Yeast, skunky chemical flavours, oranges and spices high acidity. M. Average. T: Sigtuna is back in old habbits, talking the talk, not walking the walk.

Appearance: 5/5 Very hazy golden liquid with a big white foam that left lots of lacing. Looks very appealing. Smell: 7/10 Banana bread, foam bananas, yeast, coriander Taste: 6/10 Foam banana, yeast and a hint of cloves. Some sourness. No bitterness and low sweetness. Mouthfeel: 3/5 Fairly smooth, just a bit harsh and dry, medium body. Decent mouth feel. Comment: I was hoping for some hops in this beer but they never showed up. Instead it has to compete with beers like Weihestephaner and Franzizkaner and it can’t really compete with those. However I do like that a Swedish brewer makes a wheat beer, that is something that doesn’t happen everyday. But maybe they should have been a bit more heavy on the hops to make it stand out. Not a bad beer though and I think it would well with most kinds of food. Probably nice on a hot summer day as well.

Ljunkan (530) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - FEB 5, 2010
Pours a hazy orange color with a mediumsized white head - it dissappears after a while. Aroma is phenolic and spicy with bubblegum, clove, banana and citrusy hops. Flavour is phenolic with clear notes of bubblegum, yeast, banana, clove and some citrusy, almost resin-like hops. Body is light to medium with a rather lively carbonation. Good, but not superb.

ekstedt (6977) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 3, 2010
Bottle (50 cl) from systembolaget. Hazy amber with large fluffy off-white head. Typical hefeweizen aroma with bubblegum bananas and some cloves, and a touch of citrusy hops. Moussy mouthfeel. Medium bitterness which together with the atypical use of hops gives this hefeweizen an interesting twist.

andersand (531) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 1, 2010
Hazy dark orange with a big bubbly white head that leaves some nice lazing behind. Aroma is wheaty and estery of sweet oranges, banana and clove. Flavour is rather big of the mentoined above but with additional citrus notes and butter. Mouthfeel is a bit fizzy with sharp carbonation while still being full and quaffable. Ends on a bittersweet peely kind of note with lots of sweet orange flavour. Perhaps a tad too sweet but still well made and flavourfull.

Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy dark orange colour with a rich compact white foam. Fruity aroma of banana, Seville oranges and cloves with hints of citrousy hops. Medium-bodied with notes of yeast, cloves snd orange-peel. Medium-bitter finish of orange-peels, grass and yeast.
