COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

Bottle thanks to snoworsummer. Pours dark brown with creamy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and toasted malts, figs, dates, buckwheat, light tobacco, floral notes, and some spice. Flavor is dry malts, dark fruit esters, faint hop bitterness, and some wheat; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

berntholer (1615) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUN 9, 2013
beige head that disappears fast and completely with lacing. cola clear colour. aroma of detergent, artificial lime, esters and some pear perhaps. taste is sour (like infected), white pepper but not spicy, esters and dark fruit. thin mouthfeel and quite a lot of carbonation. slight gusher after opening even though the beer was well chilled. has some elements that remind a bit of a rocherfort 8, although diluted. bottle 25 cl / best before 2015

angelkostvo (1227) - CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 13, 2013
Dark ruby color with 1 finger head. Aroma of vinegar and dough. Taste is light sour and metalic. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. I don’t like this one

wlajwl (6748) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Aroma is candy sweetness, a unique nuttiness and grainy malts. The flavor is fruit/berries, mild candy sweetness, mild stickiness and a tart/slightly sour finish.

3.3
kryon (3503) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 1, 2013
pours dark reddish brown with low light latte colored head Aromas of??? Cherries, perfume, wee bit stale, overall intense sweetness Taste is better than aromas. Cherries once again, low carbonation, low to medium bodied, low bitterness. Wee bit watery and quite abrupt ending.

Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - DEC 5, 2012
Clear dark brown beer, purple hue, white head. Aroma of caramel, cereal, sugar, candy and bubblegum. Sweet flavour, malty, grains, fresh sour touch. Sweet finish, light buckwheat touch.
Was expecting more pronounced buckwheat in aroma and flavour. It is quite drinkable though, albeit not really special imho.
