COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isnt mentioned on the bottle.

Dark brown colored with little light brown head. Grainy aroma with chocolate and sweetness, some dark fruity plummy note here as well. Medium bodied, carbonated palate. Flavor is more watery with lemon, grains and some cardboard, aftertaste has thin plum, with lasting carbonation.

Taster from bottle. Finally, my last of 39 ratings from the Glunz Beer Expo, April 2010! Ive got the bottom of the bottle in my sampler, so its very hazy, maybe just from yeast at the bottom. Brownish, very thin ring of foam. Nice malty, and yes a buckwheat smell. Tastes like a brown ale. some sourness to it. Possibly some honey and Brett in the mix. Spicy. Pretty hearty. A lot of ale fruitiness but not estery.

manuchampions (1244) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 9, 2010
750ml bottle from 16th St. Liquor in West Vancouver. Pours a cloudy caramel colour with a thin creamy white head. Aroma of crme brule, buckwheat and yeast. The flavour is the same, crme brule, buckwheat and yeast. The body is light with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Finishes well and tastes slightly boozier than the 6% alcohol. Pretty good.

mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 11, 2010
Sampled at GCBF 10, pours cloudy reddish brown. Aroma of grains and caramel malts. Flavour is more dominated by the grains, with wheat and some dark malt. Better than the regular Sara.

Flaske: Flot mrk rdbrun klar l med et flot skumhoved. Let metallisk duft med et tydeligt prg af gr og malt. Smagen er igen metallisk med et godt karbonationsbid men ikke s interessant smag.
