COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

At bootopia. Aroma was interestingly sour and spicy. Pour was a hazy amber with an off white tinged head. Flavor was good, sugar and cinnamon. Palate was okay seemed to match the brew. Overall not bad.

Hazy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is yeasty (green apples) and slightly acidic (appleish again.) Flavour is fruity, yeasty, slightly acidic and wheaty. Body is fizzy and rather light. Drinkable but..

Faily solidly constructed. Nice sunset color with a lot of sticky white foam. Sarts out a bit too carbonated (as stated by others) Mildly tart guezesque (is that a word?) nose with lemon and a little barnyard with an undertone of vannila. Mouthfeel is too sharp from the carbonation at first but settles into a sweet malty/honeied charactor. Moderatly herbal with notes of wood, doughy yeast, dust, and cream.

Donkerbruin bier met snelzakkende schuimkraag. Zurig in de mond met kruidige neus. Niet mijn topper...

I used a corkcrew and some elbow grease to get this baby open. It's kind of rough and undisciplined- lots of strange flavors and combinations. Tastes like buckwheat, that's for sure. Not as good as I'd hoped.

This is like a Belgian strong ale without as much of the typical Belgian spiciness. I approve. The aroma and flavor is marked by an appley sweetness, but yields to a sort of tart bite at the finish. Some smokeyness abides amongst the fruit as well. Cloudy amber color with a thick, even, tan head. I should add that this bottle was a gift from my roommate and his girlfriend on my birthday.

Ouch...An amber, bronze, fecal matter nightmare with just a faint cling of head and a ton of green/grey sediment. I usually don’t mind a bit of sediment, but this one was just aweful.
At least it doesn’t smell as bad as it looks! Like buckwheat pancakes with a splash of port, some peatyness and it smelled dusty like in an old library.
Smooth and creamy, like most Beers brewed with buckwheat, it had a yeasty, spicy finish, cloves perhaps.

25 cl bottle, ’bbe’ 2006. Very dark amber with a copper shine; a bit cloudy, enormous off-white head. Harsh, spicy aroma containing overdried biscuits with fruit, some nuts and a strong metallic note. Light grainy, sweetish taste with a good orangey-sourish-metallic touch and a very burnt background. Sticky body, dry mouthfeel with a burnt bitter aftertaste. Quite edgy and pretty much out of balance, I’d say.
