COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

250ml bottle. Frothy, white head, mostly fading away. Hazy, light orange body. Moderate smell of sweet tropical fruit and coriander. Basically the taste is focused on bitter fruits supported by spicy tartness. Dry and rather abrupt ending. Silky mouthfeel (11.07.2007).

Bottle, bought @ Utobeer, London.
Pours a nice, chestnut brown with a medium, frothy, beige head. Aroma is malty, light fruitiness, yeast, pepper, coriander and cinnamon. Good mouthfeel, though a pretty high carbonation. Flavour is nicely malty, light chocolate and cocoa and a good spicy balance. (Mostly coriander). very nice.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Sweet and grapy aroma. Has some fruitnotes and light spice. Flavour of fruits, grape and sweet. Is a bit too old. Thin. Grapish fruity end.

Bottle... Murky, dark amber ale with tons of sediment and a mid-sized, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma and flavor are fruity, vinous and musty with low-key sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes dusty and fruity.

750 ml corked bottle from Whole Foods. The cork popped with gigantic force. The color is turbid dark straw with a huge, creamy white head. Even my forehead oil couldn’t bring this head down to size. Aroma of cloves, hopcit, coriander. Nice aroma. The taste is spicy, with the coriander and clove at front palate, giving way to hops and citrus at mid palate and a final blast of sweet honey, spice, and citrus at the finish. Solid complexity and balance. This one is rock solid.

Courtesy of Fonefan. It’s a beautiful, red-brown beer with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of sour malt, fruit and berries. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of slightly sour malt, yeast, berries, light fruit and candy sugar. It’s an OK buckwheat beer.
