Belle robe brune, belle mousse.
Dark copper with a thin head. Sour barnyard and bready malt aroma, reminiscent of a saison. Interesting cookie dough bready malt flavor with a dry buckwheat finish. Flowery clover taste and good complexity make this a very under-rated beer, that is as long as you get a good bottle. Shag (2987) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JUN 18, 2004
Apperance is a reddish orange with a large head. The aroma is sour cherries and some earthy scents. The flavor reminds me of a Flemish sour ale with some sour cherries, musk, and spices present in the flavor. The mouthfeel is a little thin but it has a very good taste. It was an enjoyable first date with Sara, I wonder if she will call later? bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2005
(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy orange body with a large rocky off-white head. Aroma of florals, cheese, mustiness, herbs, and citrus. Flavor of spicy yeast, caramel, and citrus (lemon, orange). Fish (440) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2006
This is like a Belgian strong ale without as much of the typical Belgian spiciness. I approve. The aroma and flavor is marked by an appley sweetness, but yields to a sort of tart bite at the finish. Some smokeyness abides amongst the fruit as well. Cloudy amber color with a thick, even, tan head. I should add that this bottle was a gift from my roommate and his girlfriend on my birthday.

Pours a nice, chestnut brown with a medium, frothy, beige head. Aroma is malty, light fruitiness, yeast, pepper, coriander and cinnamon. Good mouthfeel, though a pretty high carbonation. Flavour is nicely malty, light chocolate and cocoa and a good spicy balance. (Mostly coriander). very nice.
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2006 Lot 2 - 2006 bottling.
Head is initially large, frothy, light brown, fully lasting.
Body is hazy medium to dark brownish-amber, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie, wort, toasted grain, nuts, chocolate), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of honey, toffee, shrimp, and orange peel.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation.
Definitely different than older bottles I’ve had. Maltier, darker in color (both head and body), and sweeter (a little too much). There are some off notes (wort and seafood) that pop up every couple of sniffs, but it’s pretty neat otherwise. omhper (24966) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2004

Cloudy ammber with brief, cloudy head. Orangey aroma. Dusty, dry and fruity. Medium bodied with soft, rounded mouthfeel and notes of red berries. Discrete but complex.
Brilliant light organic beer. A bit on the orangish-brown side with a nice lemony aroma and refreshing taste. Some light sour undertones.
