Bottle. A little hazy amber in colour. Pretty thick off-white head. Aroma is floral from the hops. Taste is very hoppy and a very bitter aftertaste. Visit the brewery this summer and wish i could get hold of more of this beer. Styles (2016) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - APR 4, 2006
Bottle courtesy of wohlfs. Hazy copper/amber in color, nice frothy off-white head fades to thick film quickly.
Very sweet aroma up front, combination of fruit (orange, apple and faint grapefruit), with tons of caramel malt. Flavor is again tons of caramel malt up front, with some orange zest and faint grapefruit towards the finish. Turns to a very harsh, citric bitterness, not it a good way. Finish really kills the score for me. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2006
22oz bottle via trade with kenb! - thanks Ken! - Pours amber with a pretty good sized rocky offhwhite head that stays well and laces the side of the shaker that I served it in. Aromas of pineapple, orange, and a little grapefruit. Flavor is a blast of bitter grapefruit type hops with a touch of pineapple there too over biscuit malts. Almost puckeringly bitter on the finish. Some grainy malt can be found underneath. Medium body and a little unbalanced to the hop side for my liking and seems a tad on the overcarbonated side and I think that takes away a bit of the flavor. Not bad though. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - SEP 12, 2007

Bottle: Good nose, cirtus gf, earthy, skunky. Hazy golden orange color. Burnt bitter flavor. Dry, bitter, little creamy, and did I say bitter. I like it, but I tend to be a bitter kinda guy. Definate one sided beer. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - FEB 14, 2004
Pours a crisp clear orange hued amber with a pillowy large white head. The aroma is striaght up floral hops with a bit of sweet malt. The flavor is sweet floral hops with a little bit of bready malt. The bitterness is plesant and picks up force right after swallowing. The body is medium-light with a crisp bitter finish. I pick up a little bit of an astringency in the aftertaste but it is not overly unpleasant. Overall a good IPA. Volgon (2761) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 22, 2004
