Cask at the Solihull CAMRA festival 2014. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with little life. The aroma is light honey, malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a rich chewy sweet malt, honey, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Pub Du Vin, Birmingham. Clear auburn avec bonne head mit gut lacing. I have a cold but could still make out a mild malty aroma, also reflected in the taste which was lightly toffee malt without being bitter or hoppy. This has all the ingredients of being bland but I really enjoyed it, somehow better than the sum of its parts, helped by a smooth, long-lasting head.
