500ml can -

First, a big thank you goes out to my buddy Brian for bringing me this back on his last trip to Romania. Those poor souls in Romania...ugh..some of the beers hes brought back were good and others were just plain awful. This one was all that bad though. It suprised me with the level of hops that was found, with a bit of spicy hop note. The beer seemed overly attenuated, with a dry, chemical-like aftertaste. Almost no malt character, esp for a dunkel. Maybe the 7% comes from the extra sweetness that should be there? The beer looked like rusty rain water in my glass with a light tan frothy head.

Can. Dark ruby to light brown color with tan easy disipating head. Aroma of dark fruits, prunes. Light to medium body, lively carbonated. Balance towards sweetness, light bitternes in finish. Flavors of caramel malts dominates. Alcohol is well hiden. For me too much alcohol in this light bodied beer.

The beer has a nice apearence. The color is a lovely brown, maybe ruby red. It looks nice. On top of the beer there is an nice layer of slightly off white foam. It looks quite tasty. The smell of the beer is lovely to. I smell some lovely roasty aromas and a nice malty sweetness. It smells like a good bock beer. I like the taste to. There is a lovely malty sweetness, a roasty bitterness and a licorice flavor. The beer has a very nice flavor. Good on a hot day, like prett much every beer.
