A malty, dark, strong ale in the Belgian style of brewing. This beer is full flavored with rich notes of black cherry, warm caramel and a mild coffee character. Caskalefan (168) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JUL 29, 2014
Aged in Tempranillo wine barrels, this ale has a very intriguing underpinning which is rather more earthy and savory than sweet, and reminiscent of leather and fresh tobacco leaves. These flavors blend nicely with the notes of chocolate, fig, date raisin, prune, imparted by the blend of malts, and banana, and clove esters contributed by the Belgian yeast. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 21, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear brown color with a small tan head on there. Nose had some slight elements of the Belgian yeast to it, with some dark wine elements as well; very subtle and well-played. Taste is slightly sweet, with some earthy and slight toast notes coming through. Very smooth and nice. SHIG (5290) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - SEP 18, 2015
Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a orange hint. Strong dark fruit aroma. Nice leafy and dark raisin plum fruit. BillKismet (4170) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 5, 2012
For all purposes, this brew is black and sporting a deep caramel head. Smooth roastyness slips off the glass in cool fragrant pools. Tightly wound flavors reward you for staying with them in focused concentration. They finally seep through in waves of chocolate, fig, cherry juice.

On tap at the Red Hot. Light brown color. Thin white head. Scent is spice and a little cherry. Taste is
similar with some sweetness. Pretty good.
