Tap at SC. Unfiltered orange-tan. Oily thin head. Sweet malty aroma. An odd variation, not really so true to style. Bitter, slightly astringent. Not perfectly Lagered, but still an OK beer, Some amber malt tones. Toasty. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 12, 2008
On tap at Silver Creek Brewpub. Mildly hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of toffee, toasted malt, grains and light fruit. Taste of mild citrus, toasted malt and nuts. Body is a little watery and the malt tastes a little burnt. It’s okay, but the least favorite on my visit here. Skyview (5942) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - OCT 11, 2008
On draught at the brewpub in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Pours a clear amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and thin off-white ring. Aroma of light fruity character with some roasted multi-grain malt and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, very little carbonation with flavors of apple/pear fruit, a touch of caramel and some floral essence. Finish is semi-sweet with a light fruity aftertaste and no bitterness. The 2007 vintage had a more caramel malt character; the 2008 vintage had a light fruity character.
