A rich, golden-colored beer with a light, malty flavor. Light bodied and refreshing. This 100% malt beer is fermented with special yeast originally developed on the Pacific Coast to produce true lager flavor at higher than normal fermentation temperatures. A real thirst quencher, great any time of the year.

On tap at Silver Creek. Poured clear lighter-orange with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up earthy and floral hoppage over caramel and toffee malts.. sweet, but with nice depth. The flavor found dry caramel and fruity sweetness surrounded by mostly earthy hops.. some leafy notes on the back.. also some odd character that I couldn’t place. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate.. a little tangy on the back end.. serviceable.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/21/07: Pours a transparent orange bronze with a thin ring of white head. Pale malty aroma has some faint grassy hops and mild fruity esters. Body starts lightly sugary sweet with some earthy grassy green hops. Finishes a little thinner and bittersweet. Pretty drinkable and true to style, but otherwise uninteresting.

nuplastikk (6252) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 28, 2012
Draft at Silver Creek. Hazy unfiltered orange-brown. Thin off white head. Rich for a house lager..nice. Malty, almost faint cinnamon tone. Not really classical, almost Zwickle-like ( this is before I found out it was a California Common). Good stuff, better than expected quality beer.

JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - FEB 27, 2006
Light straw color with a wispy white head. Pale male, light bread dough and a mild sanitizer scent. Light malr, hint of grain and a touch of fruit. Fairly dry and uneventful in the finish. A decent steam brew.

Skyview (6021) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 23, 2007
Sampled on draught at the brewpub in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden amber brew with an average white head that dissolves to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of sweet caramel and cereal malts, light citrus zest with a touch of yeast. Taste is medium bodied with light carbonation, light bread dough, some yeast and a touch of fruity citrus peel flavors. Finish is slightly gritty, some bitterness and a bread-like aftertaste flavor. A decent refresher style beer.

esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 1, 2013
On tap at Silver Creek Brewery. Ruddy amber with minimal head presence. Aroma is fruity and malty with some caramel. Taste is fruity and malty with a hint of chocolate, tannins and some mild dark malts.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2005 Served on tap. Poured to a copper/amber body with a thin, glazed looking creamy white head. The aroma almost came off as floral given the malty yeastiness. Caramel and toasted malts. The flavor is quite nice. Light floralness to it (even though it’s not hopped). A nice caramel and toasted malt. Barley type flavor as well. The palate is very slick and refreshing. Medium-light creamy mouthfeel. Good for a hot and humid day like today. A nice lager, I’d drink this again.

ThirstyBird (2925) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2015
At the source, pours an amber color with a light tan head. The smell is citrus, grain, mild caramel. The taste is grain, roasted malt, some citrus ending crisp. Light plus in body with carbonation that is a bit too prickly.
