[on tap somewhere in the Alaskan interior]
Clear, dark copper with a flimy white cover that doesn’t last long. Caramely diacetyl/butterscotch aroma with just a hint of citrusy hops and tobacco and raisin notes. The flavour is caramel and raisin right away, followed by a dusty, sweet malt and then some noble hops. Low bitterness and almost a clean finish. Light to medium body and medium carbonation. Nice overall beer. Good color and good aroma. Not a huge lager fan, but this one was on that I could drink reguarly. Hairofthedog (419) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 17, 2005
The aroma was light fermented fruit, flowers, slight citrus, slight tea and toasted nuts. The flavor was toasted nuts, slight tea, citrus, flowers. The beer poured a golden brown color w/ orange, red, and yellow highlights; thin lasting head and lacing. The mouthfeel was creamy and light bodied w/ a wet finish. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - APR 10, 2007
On tap. This Vienna pours a medium amber color. Small sized head. Aroma is caramel and sweet. A medium bodied Vienna. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Nice clean malt flavors. Touch of nuttiness. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Clean tasting Vienna. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Appearance: Pours a clear, orangey-amber body sporting a thin ring of whiteish bubbles.
Smell: Grainy aroma with little bit of caramel and a scent of floral, spicy hops.
Taste: Light caramel maltiness, some toasted grains. A splash of sweet apple juice. Very mild hop bitterness. Overall sweetish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Light and easily drinkable, sure, but there are many better representatives in the style to be had.

12oz bottle brought back from La Boddega. Pours a clear bright golden amber with a small tight head. Sweet honey and caramel malt, crisp grass with light cracker on the back. Taste is as the nose suggests...light honey, cracker malt and grassy hops...however, there is this unpleasant skunkiness on the end that isn’t working for me. Too bad, other wise a decent little lager. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 8, 2010
Very dark for a Vienna. Taste is pleasant, but dryish lager aftertaste. Rated 8/13/02 jgb9348 (6480) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAR 4, 2011
Deep amber and copper coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel and pit fruits, a little malt and a bunch of metal and grapes - interesting. Light-bodied; Sharp malty and lightly nutty flavour at first with a lingering metallic note and some very mild hop flavours near the end. Aftertaste shows some cardboard maltiness, a touch of grapes and a little pit fruit flavours. Overall, an okay beer and interesting for the style - a lot of malt present and a good bit of caramel and metal coming together for the flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 26-June-2010 sampled at home before leaving for Hawaii on 03-March-2011 in Washington. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 10, 2003
(draft) Crystal clear light golden with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, floral. Taste is mild sweet turning Bohemian hoppy, finishing mild grassy bitter. Light body and smooth, ok crispness. Pleasant everyday lager that's legit but shouldn't scare off the BMC crowd. Braudog (6836) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 17, 2005
On draft at the Pumphouse in Fairbanks AK (don’t go to this restaurant by the way). Reddish amber with a thin head and very light caramel beer not unlike a light bodied Vienna. Kinda boring but well done.
